TO OUR GUESTS
Thank you for inquiring about/renting Whispering Oaks at Lake Fork in Emory, Texas.
OCCUPANCY RATE: Up to 6 guests - $100 per night + tax (Boat parking for an additional fee of $10 per night + tax)
Cancellations must be made TWO WEEKS prior to check in date for refund.
NO PETS | NO SMOKING INDOORS | NO DRUG USE
NO ATV/OFFROAD VEHICLES | NO DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS
DISCLAIMER:
This guesthouse is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or facilities. Owners are not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings of guests which include watercraft(s). By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all renters and their guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.
Please keep in mind that this is a rural setting, which includes: bugs, flying insects, and varmints like raccoons, possums, snakes and other little creatures. Deer may approach the property at any time, and there is a zero-tolerance for hunting on the property. Please do not feed the deer.
RESERVATION TIMES:
Check-in: no earlier than 3 p.m. on the first day of reservation
Check-out: no later than 11 a.m. on the last day of reservation.
If you depart/check out of the guesthouse prior to the end of your reserved dates by choice, we will not issue a refund for the nights that you did not utilize the property.
FURNISHINGS: The guesthouse is completely furnished including bedding, towels, dishes, cookware, toilet paper and paper towels. You should plan to supply your own disposable plates, cups, and utensils. There are pillows, linens, towels, paper towels, and toilet paper provided for the number of guests and days that have been declared.
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS: Bedroom: 2 Queen Size beds; Living room couch: 1 Queen hide-a-bed
BATHROOM FACILITIES: The guesthouse is on a Septic Tank, so please do not put anything other than toilet paper in the toilet bowl. Utilize the trash basket provided for all other trash, which includes facial tissues, band-aids, feminine products, paper towels, q-tips, etc. Please use only the toilet paper provided.
TRASH: Trash must be bagged, placed in the collection bin and the lid must close. If your trash does not fit in the bin, it must be hauled away by you.
A/C & HEATING: The guesthouse features two portable wall A/C & heat units. The remotes to control them are on the wall in the living room and bedroom. You may adjust the temperatures to fit your needs. Do not remove remotes from the wall.
KITCHEN:
Refrigerator/Freezer/Kitchen Cabinets: Remove any items that are likely to spoil. Leave condiments and non-perishable items for the next guests if you wish.
DO NOT leave FISH and/or BAIT in the freezer or refrigerator. Please clean up major spills/messes.
Ensure all dishes are washed and at a minimum left in the drying rack provided to air dry.
WIFI & ENTERTAINMENT:
We do provide WiFi service. Please use the WiFi connection information provided in the guesthouse to connect - be sure to disconnect prior to departure.
There are TV(s) in the guesthouse that you may use with a Roku Streaming device. You may only use accounts with Whispering Oaks Guest as the title if using our Netflix, Hulu, etc. accounts. If you choose to log into your personal streaming accounts, you must log out before departing.
Board and card games are available in the living room entertainment center. Ensure all board and card games are placed neatly back in their proper location.
WHEN DEPARTING:
Close and lock all windows and doors, turn off fans/lights, set thermostats to 72
Please do not access the property at other times of the year when you are not renting.
You should find the guesthouse clean and everything in working order. Let us know immediately if you are not satisfied with the condition of our property, if you encounter something broken, or if something becomes broken during your stay. We will exhaust all efforts to rectify the problem.
